The Makeup Show Holiday Pop-Up Shop: December 2-3, 2011

Ahhh. The holidays are upon us and what better way to start your shopping then with a makeup show holiday pop-up shop. The previous makeup show this past summer is what fueled my desire to start this little blog and I couldn't be more thrilled. The Makeup Show is a pro-driven beauty event that features your favorite brands at discount prices from 20% to 40% off. The makeup show will open it doors to consumers and pro's at the debut of their holiday pop-up shop in NYC, December 2nd and 3rd.

This pop-up shop will feature over 40 top beauty brands and give attendees and opportunity to meet celebrity makeup artists and top beauty bloggers as they share the season's hottest tips. Participating brands include Kevyn Aucoin, Stila Cosmetics, Crown Brush, Mario Badescu, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Dermalogica, Embryolisse USA, Temptu Pro, Armour Beauty, KnockOut Cosmetics, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, and many others.

The Makeup Show Holiday Pop-Up Shop will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 5pm to 10pm and on December 3, 2011 from 10am to 6pm at Metropolitan Pavilion, 123 West 18th Street, 4th Floor, NYC 10011.  Tickets are $20 each day, and can be purchased here.

New York Comic Con On Sunday, October 16, 2011: The Attendees (Part 2)

With New York Comic Con coming to a close on Sunday, the crowd was ready to go out with a bang. They were dressed with the best and eager to see all their favorites. I was really amazed at some of the fantastic costumes that were put together and by the awesome artistry skills with makeup.

This costume was AMAZING. I'm dying to know where he purchased this OR how he made it.

He was also on stilts

AWESOME!

I should've made her teach me how to do this--looks gorgeous

Mr. T & a lovely lady

The lovely crew of  Minions of Gozer. If you're in the NYC area definitely check out their show this November.

I love this kid!

Childhood memories of Dark Wing Duck

The smallest of the costume wearers. Isn't she adorable?

What was your favorite costume from NYCC?

New York Comic Con On Saturday, October 15, 2011: The Attendees (Part 2)

One of the most exciting parts about New York Comic Con is seeing everyone dressed up in their favorite characters. My mission was to find the best of the best for costumes, makeup and attitude. Here's what I found my first day at NYCC:

Thor & Edward Scissor-hands were easily spotted

Ready to kick some ass if necessary

A frightening Cat Woman & Spider-man as zombies. Their makeup looks AMAZING.

Ghost-busters were there just in case any ghosts tried to ruin the party

Proton Pack & all

A pint-size Captain America was all smiles

"Riddle Me This or Riddle Me That?"

This Wolverine was ready for some action

This red creature stood no chance with these two

Mini Jedi's had light-sabers handy

Spiderman VS. Venom

Go, Go Power Rangers!

BEST. COSTUME. EVER.

She will be playing Sailor Moon in the the upcoming Sailor Moon Film on YouTube. Check them out at FB & Twitter.

The X-Men Crew

This Rocketeer is AWESOME

DIY Poison Ivy Shoes!

The best for last: Superman & Lois Lane

They were gorgeous together

The little ones always melt my heart

Did I miss you at NYCC? What were you wearing?
